The Guilds
@ St. Gabriel'sThe Altar Guild cares for and prepares the sanctuary and altar for all services held at St. Gabriel’s. This consists of taking care of the communion silver, vessels, and altar linens, and managing the supplies such as wine, candles, and bread. If you’re interested in joining this group of volunteers but have never done this sort of thing, there are two things to remember:
- You won’t have to do it every week, and
- You will be trained.
For information on joining, please contact the church office.
The Flower Guild makes floral arrangements for the Altar each week. Funding comes from our parishioners who sign up to sponsor the Sunday Altar Flowers, and from those who purchase poinsettias and Easter lilies to honor, remember, or celebrate a loved one or family.
In addition to its weekly efforts, the Liturgical year provides opportunities to enhance the nave in celebration of Christmas, Easter, and other feast days. We are always looking for new members to train or to give us new ideas.
For information on joining, please contact the church office.
The Bread Makers Guild makes the bread we share at communion! As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to bake small loaves of bread a few times a year which will end up as something else entirely within the course of our celebration of Holy Communion.
